New Moon in Scorpio

If you are wondering whether I've been away for a wee while, then yes, you are right. Work priorities dictated that I had to devote all my time to reaching deadlines.

This still holds, though I though I'd just post a little article on today's New Moon in Scorpio as it seems to be pretty interesting.

First of all, we are going through a Mercury retrograde period when anything to do with communication can go belly up. Remember the Cloudfare outage a few days ago? Well, lo and behold when I tried to get my graphic table working today - it ain't cooperating. Mercury retrograde. Because of this, it was impossible to use it to label the planets in the diagram; I could just about try to draw straight lines with a mouse. Massive fail.

A New Moon in Scorpio opposite Uranus? Way to go, Uranus. New beginnings beckon which promise sudden change. Uranus is also at the anaretic degree (29th degree) which is sort of ominous. Uranus doesn't like restriction, so any attempt to set down new patterns will feel more like an intense transformation. With Uranus, expect sudden breakthroughs which demand the release of old patterns. Scorpio is an water sign (the kind where still waters run deep) so we're talking about emotional patterns here. This New Moon therefore offers a potent moment for renewal.

Mars rules Scorpio and it goes without saying that we need to pay our respects to the red planet. At the moment of this New Moon (07:47 this morning 20/11) Mars was on the eastern horizon (ascendant). Mars is in Sagittarius is all about adventurous energy and restless curiosity. The energy of Mars couples with the optimism of Sagittarius, creating fiery enthusiasm for whatever vision you hold. That, together with the need for no restriction (Uranus) when setting down new patterns for the lunar month, sounds exciting but it could also threaten others who want to maintain the status quo. Jupiter trines Saturn very nicely, creating a balance between overdoing things and being cautious.

Let's face it, weird stuff is going on. A Mercury retrograde is tough enough (in Scorpio - this is about hidden things, information, secrets). It is no secret that the world is changing fast. AI has boomed and we're on the verge of quantum computing. We have five retrograde planets in the sky at the moment (Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto) which might explain why we could be feeling at times that reality is slipping.

Long story short; be watchful. Think things through. What you see may not be what you think you see.

Blessings be yours,
Cindy
