Leo Full Moon and the Heart of a Lion

Image
This Leo Full Moon certainly packs a punch!  Hello everyone! Welcome to the Leo Full Moon on the 12th February 2025 at 14:53. In astrology, the full moon symbolizes a time of culmination, illumination, and heightened emotions.    The full moon's energy amplifies intuition, making it a powerful moment for introspection and spiritual growth.  It's also a period when the intentions set during the new moon come to fruition. The energy of the full moon encourages reflection, completion of projects, and release of what no longer serves us. Emotions run high, and hidden truths often come to light, providing clarity and insight. It is therefore an ideal time for rituals focused on letting go, forgiveness, and gratitude. Full moons in the sign of Leo focus on  self-expression, creativity, and confidence. Leo, a fire sign ruled by the Sun, is associated with passion, leadership, and a desire to shine. During this time, the energy encourages individuals to embr...

New Moon in Pisces and Saturn and Pluto moving sign

We have a New Moon in Pisces on the 20th February at 8:05am. Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac and is traditionally ruled by Jupiter, its modern ruler being Neptune. Before the discovery of the outer planets, the planet Jupiter was given rulership of the sign of the two fishes (as well as being the ruler of Sagittarius). This is quite an interesting detail; apart from the Sun and the Moon (the two luminaries), each known planet ruled two zodiac signs, though the planets Mercury through to Saturn behaved quite differently in their assigned signs. In this case, Jupiter in Pisces takes on the role of the mystic because Pisces is the sign associated with 'giving up' one's ego. It is no surprise, then, that the sign of the two fishes is associated with early Christianity, for the 'saviour' is someone who sacrifces their ego for the sake of the whole. If you have a planet in Pisces in your natal chart, then that planet behaves quite differently from another water si...

When the Moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie...

And that is what I was singing in the car on my way to work this morning. At 17:56 this evening, just as the sun dips below the horizon, the Moon will be opposite the Sun on the 27 degree Leo/Aquarius axis. Interestingly, this is where Regulus, the star in the heart of Leo lies. Regulus is known as one of the four 'watchers', or Royal Stars. In Arabic, it was assigned the name 'Qalb al-Assad', or heart of the lion.  Full Moons usually indicate the culmination of intentions laid down at the New Moon. So what is being highlighted here? Given that Mars and Venus are currently in cahoots in the sky, this must be part of the picture. Yesterday I posted about this being a one-night stand event; but no, Venus and Mars will be travelling together for a few weeks. The heat coming off this alignment is going to last more than one night, it seems.  Another fixed star, Algol, the Medusa, is aligned with the Moon's Nodes - indicating some sort of potential violence. Given that w...
