This is just a short note to let you know that the blog post for the upcoming New Moon on the 29th March 2025 - also a solar eclipse - will be up after the weekend. 

For those of you who know something about chart reading... I'm posting the chart below.

Pluto and Venus make history

  Something extraordinary is going on. At 04:52 tomorrow morning, Pluto goes direct at 1 degree Aquarius after having gone retrograde on the 4th May 2025. For the past 162 days, Pluto appeared to be walking backwards in the sky. Fair enough, planets do have their retrograde periods at different points of the solar year.  It's what's going on in the sky that captures our attention. At the point in time when Pluto goes direct, Venus goes over the same degree as the 21st September solar eclipse of 29 degrees Virgo, and enters the sign of Libra at zero degrees. From here, she opposes Neptune at 0 degrees Aries. Libra is ruled by Venus, so she is very much at home here.  We all know that Venus is the planet associated with love and stability in relationships (business or otherwise). New Moon in Scorpio

  If you are wondering whether I've been away for a wee while, then yes, you are right. Work priorities dictated that I had to devote all my time to reaching deadlines.  This still holds, though I though I'd just post a little article on today's New Moon in Scorpio as it seems to be pretty interesting.  First of all, we are going through a Mercury retrograde period when anything to do with communication can go belly up. Remember the Cloudfare outage a few days ago? Well, lo and behold when I tried to get my graphic table working today - it ain't cooperating. Mercury retrograde. Because of this, it was impossible to use it to label the planets in the diagram; I could just about try to draw straight lines with a mouse. Massive fail.  A New Moon in Scorpio opposite Uranus? Summer Solstice and the Lunar Standstill

  On Thursday night, at 21:50, we celebrate the Summer Solstice. the time of year which celebrates the first astronomical day of the Summer season in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that tomorrow marks the longest day of the year and also the shortest night, measured in terms of daylight.  https://www.umass.edu/sunwheel/pages/moonteaching.html The Solstice marks a point in the year when the Sun is at its northernmost point. This point is an abstract one, on the celestial Tropic of Cancer (the Tropic of Cancer projected out into space), a parallel 23.5 degree north of the celestial equator (the equator projected out into space). At this solstice, as opposed to the Winter Solstice, the Northern Hemisphere is most tilted towards the Sun by a maximum angle of 23.5 degrees.  The Ancient ones knew about this day and gave it the utmost importance.
