Just a little note.....

 Hi All... just a little note to say that I'll try to have something up on tomorrow's lunar eclipse (and Full Moon in Virgo) over the weekend. 

I feel ambushed... but that's not surprising considering that the eclipse is hitting my Mars (energy). I bet you're feeling the effects of this Full Moon too! 

Till then, take it easy (ha!).

  If you are wondering whether I've been away for a wee while, then yes, you are right. Work priorities dictated that I had to devote all my time to reaching deadlines.  This still holds, though I though I'd just post a little article on today's New Moon in Scorpio as it seems to be pretty interesting.  First of all, we are going through a Mercury retrograde period when anything to do with communication can go belly up. Sonnet LX, Shakespeare and Saturn

  Our English Literature students are currently revising their poetry in anticipation of their Matsec exams (our version of O' Levels) and one of the poems up for study is Sonnet LX by William Shakespeare. Here it is: Simply put, in this sonnet Shakespeare ponders on the brevity and meaning of life, something he alludes to in both 'Macbeth' and 'As You Like It'. What caught my eye was 'And nothing stands but for his scythe to mow'.  That is definitely a nod to the Grim Reaper - or in astrological terms, Saturn. The ancient Greeks often referred to Saturn as 'Chronos', from where the word 'chronological' comes to us, and was usually portrayed as an old man with a scythe. Until the 16th century, Saturn was believed to be the outermost planet in the solar system and it was for this reason, perhaps, that 'he' was considered to represent the outermost boundaries, the end, so to speak. Full Moon in Leo, Uranus, Pluto and the two Princes

  Good morning, all! We have a Full Moon in the sky occurring at 16 degrees of Leo at 7:28pm this evening. High in the sky we can see Mars, which is currently transiting the sign of Gemini. The real star of the show, however, is Uranus, an outer planet (outside of Saturn). Uranus is currently in the astrological sign of Taurus, where it has been since the 15th of May 2018. This planet takes 84 years to orbit the Sun and where it falls in your birth chart really tells us about generational influences. If it aspects another planet in your chart (Sun, Moon, Mercury to Saturn), then there is a story of how you do things differently.   Uranus was in the same position as today 84 years ago - in 1939.
