1565, 1942, 1964 and now....how to get sidetracked when doing important paperwork!

The lovely thing about school holidays (yes, I teach) is that there is enough time to look up random stuff with my astrology computer software. No more calculating using pen and paper and looking up tables; in an instant I can get hold of a chart for any time, any date and any place in the world.

Today was such a day and I thought I would post this simply because it is interesting. I was browsing through social media when I noticed that there was a ceremony marking the anniversary of the George Cross being awarded to the Maltese nation on the 15th April 1942. Oh, I thought, let's have a look at what was going on in the sky.

When I first looked at the charts, I was jumping up and down with excitement. If you think that receiving the George Cross marked the end of the heavy bombing this nation endured, think again; in the second half of April 1942, Malta had become the most bombed place on the planet. I'm old enough to have walked through Valletta when some places were still rubble - but back to the charts.

What is fascinating is that some of the planetary placements of the 1942 chart are echoed in the chart of Malta's Independence chart (21 September 1964). The Neptune of 1942 is where Malta's Independence chart Sun is, Pluto is where the 1942 Mars is, and Jupiter sits in between the 1942 Uranus/Saturn position.

Upon seeing this chart - I looked for another one....Another time when Malta was under attack was in 1565. On the 8th September, the Ottomans sailed out of Malta after a four month long battle, probably around sunrise. Putting the two charts together and comparing the planetary placements, we find something quite eerie....the 1942 Neptune is where the 1565 Sun is and the 1565 Mars is exactly on the 1942 Jupiter and very close to the 1942 Mars.

This table shows the degrees of these planets and the corresponding years (the Great Siege, 1942, 1964 and today as a reference point). It seems as though there are connections in the sky at these pivotal points in our history. The Jupiter of 1942 echoes the Mars of 1565 and in turn is where Jupiter is in our skies today.
That Pluto at 3 degrees of Leo in the 1942 chart, coincidentally, is directly opposite it's position today!

What to make of this? Only that it reminds us that the sky offers us information should we care to look. It just makes life more interesting and humans seem small in the face of sky stories.

Back to what I was doing....

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Nonsense to some but not to all.

Blessings,

Cindy
