The Mid-Autumn Moon and a dove.

The Full Aries Moon at 14 degrees occurs tomorrow morning at 05:47, after which it sets in the western horizon. In Asian cultures, this is known as the Autumn Moon. The Autumn Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is celebrated across many Asian countries including China, Vietnam, Korea and Malaysia. Held on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, it honours the full moon and the harvest season. Families gather to share mooncakes - round pastries symbolising unity - and admire the moon's brilliance. Lanterns light up streets and homes. In Vietnam, it is a joyful children's celebration, while in Korea, Chuseok blends ancestral rituals with feasting.
The New Moon two weeks ago had quite a different vibe - yet this Full Moon is still under the influence of that moon as it is part of the cycle which began two weeks ago on the 21st September which was also a solar eclipse. So let's look at the story the sky is offering us.

An Aries Moon is all about initiating action. Aries speaks of new beginnings and is ruled by the planet Mars, so this moon is particularly fiery. The planet Mars has just entered the sign of Scorpio which it rules. Have you ever heard the saying 'still waters run deep'? So although the chart itself does not have the same turbulent vibe as the chart of the preceding New Moon, there are many undercurrents which we need to be aware of. Notice how Mercury the communicator lies in a challenging (square) aspect to Pluto (which is also in a trine with Uranus). Mercury in Scorpio is very much the 'spy' who is flying beneath the radar but knows all the hidden agendas. Pluto wants the truth to come to the surface so that transformation can be effected. Jupiter, the planet of expansion is in a harmonious aspect with Saturn the Taskmaster, and as the former is ruled by this Aries Moon (Jupiter is transiting Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon), we can expect some kind of movement forward.
What this means that although you may want to move forward and change things thinking you have all the information at hand through your informers, the path will not be as easy as you think. Do not overdo it. No overkill.
As for Fixed Stars, at the moment of the Full Moon, the fixed star Phact is on the mid-heaven (directly above). It was the dove that brought good news to Noah on his ark after forty days of rain. Phact is quite a positive star - so let's hope that the constellation it belongs to - the Dove - will bring us the peace-offering needed at this point in time.
I hope you enjoyed reading this.
Blessings,
Cindy
