The Moon embraces The Sun in Scorpio

It always amazes me how sometimes life throws information at you about what is going on in the sky. We inadvertently get drawn  to do things which inform us. In a previous post, I wrote that an early morning DJ played “Life on Mars” and “Venus”, which makes an anyone into astrology smile. So I checked out the astrological aspects.

The latest ‘shout-out’ from the cosmos certainly made me smile. It is a kind of “Hey you! Make sure you take note of this!” Those who know me are aware that sometimes I like to watch what is known as K-drama (Korean series). Over the past week, I’ve been watching a historical series called “Moon Embracing the Sun”. Apart from the storyline, the cinematography, the costumes, the fact that it takes me to a place far away in time is alluring. It is the title of the series which suddenly made me sit up.

On Thursday 4th November, the Moon will indeed embrace the Sun, that is, they appear to occupy the same portion of sky, in what we know as the New Moon. This sets the lunar cycle for the next month. So let us have a look at what this New Moon is presenting us with visually. If you look at the chart, note that Mercury, Mars and Venus are below the horizon (the line that runs from east to west). This means that they are not visible. Saturn and Jupiter are setting, so looking to the west you might be able to spot them. Uranus (the TV aerial 😊 ) and Neptune (the trident) are not visible to the naked eye. So – who rules this chart?

New Moon in Scorpio means that Mars is king, because Mars rules Scorpio (Pluto is a modern planet).  It symbolises the warrior, and a New Moon in Scorpio with Mars in rulership (think of it as being the king being in domicile) tells us that he is in a powerful position for the duration of his stay in his own sign. New Moons are all about setting new intentions, and with Mars ruling this lunar cycle, the ability to get things done will be powerful. Mercury is approaching the final degrees of Libra and should begin its journey through Scorpio, meeting Mars by the 9th November, so any hidden agendas or secrets should become apparent or visible by that time.

Venus, in the meantime, is still out-of-bounds (see the blog entry previous to this one) and therefore possesses much of it’s ‘wild card’ energy. Our Love Goddess is poised to change sign and enter the very practical and down-to-earth sign of Capricorn.

All the above should assist is in getting even the harder bits of our lives organised.

Make your intention, no matter how hard you perceive the task you wish to initiate. The power is there, just tap into it. This is the realm of Hades, where passion, anger, jealousy  (just like the Kdrama ‘Moon Embracing the Sun') and drive are key to transformation and transmutation.

Blessings to all.

Cindy
