Full Moon in Virgo... and some other stuff....
Good morning all! There is a terrific amount of news bombarding us at every moment. Each person I meet comments that their lives are terrible busy (including mine) and that everything seems to be happening at once, and that they cannot keep up. Ditto. Let's have a look at a few things happening in the sky.
First of all, there is a Full Moon tomorrow. Full Moons are the culmination of seeds sown at the New Moon. Looking back at that, the New Moon on the 3rd of March was dominated by the Venus/Mars conjunction in Capricorn. The Virgo Full Moon has Venus and Mars still travelling together in the sky, though Venus is moving faster than Mars, and both of them have moved into Aquarius, away from earthy Capricorn, where Mars held more power and stability. Uranus is rising in this Full Moon chart, so expect surprises!
Aquarius is a sign that is traditionally ruled by Saturn, and in the Full Moon chart, one can see that Saturn is at home in its domain. Thus, both Venus and Mars pay homage to the ruler, and because Aquarius is a fixed sign, there is a sense of stubbornness. Relationships with others (because Venus and Mars are meeting up, and Venus rules relationships, we could say this) might come to an impasse.
There are other factors at play here, for example Uranus squares that Venus/Mars, so sudden and unusual challenges may arise, especially as Uranus is rising on the eastern horizon at the time of the Full Moon. Pluto, the planet(oid) is the highest point in the chart and therefore we could say that the situation demands some form of transformation. Jupiter is approaching Neptune, both in Pisces, which gives an 'out-of-this-world' vibe. Does life feel like it is surreal? A bit like looking out of one window and seeing a huge storm, and looking out of the window on the opposite side and seeing blazing blue skies? Confused? Hardly surprising.
Interestingly, the last time we had a Full Moon at 27 degrees of Virgo was prior to a general election in 2003. Given that we are currently facing one, one just has to have a look and see if there are any patterns. This month's election chart shows the Moon at 18 degrees of Capricorn. The Moon in a mundane chart usually signifies the people and how they are feeling/learning. A moon in Cap usually denotes practical learnings. Capricorn is about business and money, and one has to admit, a lot of focus locally has been on how people conduct their business, and how money is being made and used.
In the 2003 general election (always timed for 7:00am when voting stations are open), the Moon was at 18 degrees of Leo, a fire sign, signifying the people were probably concerned with issues of identity (Leo); that election was all about whether or not to join the EU. The rest is history.
This 18 degrees number is interesting because it is repeated in the Full Moon chart with Jupiter's position at 18 degrees of Pisces. What significance does the number 18 hold? On a mundane level, being 18 means that one is now legally an adult. The Full Moon is happening on the 18th, and, what do you know - the Moon was at 18 degrees of Virgo we Malta joined the EU on the 1st of May 2004. The recurrence of the number 18 all point to something. There is certainly a message here.
Back to the Full Moon tomorrow - how will this affect you? Look back to the New Moon on the 3rd March - what intentions did you lay down? Is there a project you started a while back being completed at the moment? Case in point: I'm graduating today. Fancy that!
