Full Moon in Sagittarius and a Supermoon!

Good morning peeps, we have a Full Moon tomorrow the 14th June at 13:51. Full moons are always on the opposite side of the sun, so today's Full Moon is in Gemini at 23 degrees.

Full moons are the culmination of patterns set at the New Moon (I know, I use capitalisation haphazardly), so in a sense we come to a sort of 'enlightenment' at the Full Moon - the light of the Full Moon allows us to have a glimpse at what needs highlighting.

Sagittarius moons are all about how we respond emotionally to life's issues. This is a fire sign, so we respond creatively. How do we respond? This is not a water sign so no sulking somewhere till we wreak havoc, no, Sagittarius responds by trying to look at the bigger picture, by moving away, travelling or focusing on something else.

The other things going on in this Full Moon chart is Mercury's entry into Gemini, the sign it rules (as well as Virgo, where Mercury operates differently, as an analytic factor). Venus, in its own sign of Taurus, has just crossed over Uranus, whilst Mars is another planet in its own sign Aries. To have three personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) in their own signs at a Full Moon is quite unusual, though not impossible, so this month we are quite honoured, particularly because this morning, in the pre-dawn sky, there was a pretty line up. (See photo courtesy of https://whenthecurveslineup.com/2022/05/12/2022-june-15-teapot-moon-planets-evening-summer-stars/) . In this picture, Saturn is leading the procession, followed by Jupiter, Mars and Venus.

This is a pretty charged Full Moon chart, especially as today's full moon is a supermoon: this means that the Moon is at perigee (closest to Earth, but only ever so slightly) and will appear 14% larger than it usually does. Tonight's moon will shine brightly and look bigger.

This Full Moon chart offers up some information. The Moon in the full moon chart forms a square (90 degrees) to Neptune, which indicates that some issues to do with dreams and illusions may arise. The Moon also forms a harmonious aspect (60 degrees) to Saturn (structure, responsibility), and when you put these two issues together - dreams and structure, illusions and responsibility - it seems to want to tell us that it is fine to have dreams - but make them real, work on them, or you risk having to take responsibility for your own disillusionment. It's all about balance really.

I hope you enjoy today's write-up. In the words of the great Dr.Seuss......

Blessings,

Cindy
