Full Moon in Virgo and Saturn joins The Fish
This is a busy, busy month, and given the movements of some slow moving planets, it's hardly surprising. That, plus a Full Moon tomorrow, has astrologers all over the world busy tapping away at their keyboards describing the sky narrative that is unfolding. First and foremost is tomorrow's Full Moon in Virgo, which will be exact at 13:40 local time. Full Moons are all about things coming to fruition, so ask yourself what intentions you set for yourself 14 days ago at the New Moon. Virgo moons are all about getting our things in order, sorting the wheat from the chaff. It also relates to our state of health and how our bodies function on a daily basis. The real star of the show tomorrow is Saturn, the planet to do with authority, putting in the hard work and organisation. The circled planet in the diagram on the right shows its position at the very end of Aquarius. Tomorrow, it will enter the sign of Pisces. Saturn typically takes about 29 years to orbit the Sun, so it spends two to three years, more or less, in each sign. The first Saturn return at around the age of 29-30 years of age signals coming into adulthood. If you are around 30, it can be said that you are now considered to be someone who can be relied upon in terms of having gathered enough expertise and can function as an adult in the adult world. If you are around the ago of 60, then you should have garnered enough experience to be inducted into that group of people who can be considered wise.
So how does Saturn in Pisces 'behave'? Saturn entered Capricorn in 2017 and that was all about business and building structures. We have to remember that Saturn rules this sign, as it does Aquarius. In Aquarius it is/was all about innovation, ideas and ideology. Pisces, however, is a water sign, and Saturn is all about structure. Water signs, like Cancer and Scorpio, are not about structure, in that water, like our emotions, moves this way and that. So how does a planet like Saturn manifest its characteristics in a sign associated with compassion, illusion and make-believe? Well, it does offer us the opportunity to see what we are building with our dreams. Astrologer Jessica Adams pointed out just a few days ago that United Nations members, after years of talks and negotiations, finally came to an agreement on protecting those parts of our oceans which are outside of national jurisdictions.
The last time Saturn transited Pisces was in early 1994. Look back to that time (if you were old enough to have been around, and fairly independent), and see what was going on in your life at the time (and for a period of about two and a half years). Were you trying to make your dreams come true through hard work, having realised that prior ideas about where your life was going seemed to no longer hold value? That, with the Virgo Full Moon tomorrow, we should be ensuring that our bodies (structures) are in optimum condition to take on new challenges.
