New Moon in Aries at the Spring Equinox
On the 21st March, 2023, just after sunset, the Sun goes into 0 degrees of Aries, marking the beginning of the Spring season in the northern hemisphere.
It is not every year that there is a New Moon on the Equinox, when the Sun reaches the first point of Aries. This event will mark the beginning of a new lunar cycle and an excellent opportunity for us to set intentions and start new projects. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and is known for its bold and assertive nature. It is a fire sign, which symbolizes passion, creativity, and action. When the New Moon is in Aries, we are encouraged to embrace our inner warrior and take bold steps towards achieving our goals.
The New Moon in Aries is a time of new beginnings, and we are urged to take action and seize opportunities. It is a time to break free from old patterns, habits, and limiting beliefs that may be holding us back. We are encouraged to be brave, take risks, and trust our instincts. It is also a great time for personal growth and self-discovery. Aries is associated with the ego, and during this time, we may feel more confident and self-assured. It is spring time, after all, so it is only natural that, like nature, we 'wake up' and want to do new things. We can use this energy to explore our passions and desires, and to set intentions that align with our highest purpose. So what can you see in the evening sky, just after sunset? If you recall, last week, there was a marvellous Venus/Jupiter meeting in the evening sky. Venus has now moved into a different sign - its own sign of Taurus and is approaching Uranus (which is hovering over 16 degrees of Taurus), though you will not be able to view that without the aid of a telescope. Mars will be visible closer to the midheaven. At 28 degrees of Gemini, Mars is out-of-bounds, making it a wild card energy in this New Moon chart. Watch out for any impulse to put 'words' out there which may have adverse repercussions, in other words, saying something which may backlash. Choose your words carefully. Mars is also conjunct the fixed star Betelgeuse in the sword of Orion, further reinforcing the notion of 'warrior energy'. Again, be careful with words (Mars in Gemini, to do with communication).
Imminent is Pluto's entry into Aquarius on the 23rd of this month. Much has been written about what this means. More about that later.
I hope you enjoyed reading this.
Blessings,
Cindy
