Jupiter and Sun conjunct today!
Good morning - this is just a quick post to highlight a celestial event happening at the moment. Jupiter, the planet to do with expansion and joy, is conjunct the Sun at 21 to 22 degrees of Aries. Jupiter is travelling with the Sun which means this planet is not visible by night.
Jupiter conjunct (occupying the same space) the Sun is a very fortunate aspect, so if you have anything between 20 to 23 degrees in Aries or Libra, Pisces or Virgo, Aquarius or Leo, and Capricorn or Cancer, this is a highly auspicious sign. It signifies growth and expansion with benefic results.
Let's give an example. This is the aspect that this heavenly conjunction is making to a person's chart who has their own natal Mercury at 21 degrees of Cancer. Mercury in Cancer speaks of communcation as a means of nurturing (Mercury in Cancer) within the area of groups and organisations (11th house). The Jupiter-Sun conjunction is happening of the 8th house (to do with other people's resources). Cancer also has to do with what nurtures us, so when this person informed me that she is invited out to conference dinner (food - nurtures us - Cancer - to do with an organisation - 11th house), this appears to be a perfect expression of that. Furthermore, although the conjunction forms a 90-degree angle - something we call a 'square', and represents a challenge in astrological terms - the fact that it is a Jupiter aspect softens that a lot. Other people's resources? Where does that fit in, well.... the invitation was extended to her not because this person is attending the conference, but through the partner. Enough said.If any of you are into crystals, put them out in the sun today to soak up those good 'vibes'.
Just for your information - Venus has just passed by the star cluster known as the Weeping Sisters - the Pleaides. The seven sisters (yes, also the name of the first of seven novels by Lucinda Riley - love those) feature in many creation myths all over the world, possibly because they become visible at the beginning of the rainy season in the northern hemisphere. Venus has just entered the sign of Gemini, so those of you with this planet in this sign will be, at one point or another, celebrating their Venus return (when it returns to its natal position).
Venus cycles are interesting to follow and represent a new cycle in how you network with others (love or otherwise). Gemini is all about communication, and with Venus there. Venus in Gemini natives will find their skills tuned up a notch with this return.
I hope you enjoyed reading this :)
Blessings,
Cindy
