Full Moon in Gemini and other things....

As promised, in this post I am going to include the information from the New Moon which occurred on the 13th November. In my apologia last week, I mentioned that the New Moon in Scorpio was quite a sizzler, and the reason for that was that together with the Sun and Moon, was a spectacular Mars opposite Uranus aspect. I also mentioned that I connected it to volcanic activity in Iceland. I don't think that volcano has erupted yet but it has kept everyone there on full red alert. Similarly the Middle East, which is so delicate and complex a topic that to analyse it from an astrological perspective would require deep study; that's for another time, perhaps. What I would like to mention is that this New Moon occurred a day before King Charles' birthday, which means that his Solar Return chart for the coming year would have contained that very energized Mars/Uranus opposition.

Briefly explained, a solar return chart is something astrologers use to predict the year ahead for the person. By returning the Sun (hence solar return) to the exact position at the time of birth and the location the person is in (so if you are away for your birthday, use that location), you get a glimpse of your sky story for the year ahead. This chart is not interpreted  in exactly the same way as a birth chart, but it does offer some interesting information. To begin with, KCIII has a Sun/Mars conjunction in his SR chart for this year and this augurs well in that his vitality (Sun) has the energy of Mars. With Uranus opposite, he may (notice that nothing is fixed, the word used here is 'may') have to deal with issues which are unexpected. Running his Secondary Progressed chart (another predictive tool) confirms that he may indeed have to deal with unexpected challenges which crop up (progressed Uranus conjunct progressed Midheaven - indicating sudden change to status/career). We shall just have to wait and see how that pans out.

Onto this Full Moon which will grace our skies tonight for a while, and tomorrow after sunset, though the actual timing of the Full Moon is during daylight hours. Have we moved on from the New Moon Mars/Uranus gridlock? Indeed we have, though Mars and the Sun are still travelling buddies in the sky. Mars is now in the freedom loving sign of Sagittarius and not opposing Uranus as it has moved out of sign. This Full Moon throws light onto how we communicate responsibly - note how the Sun and Moon are both 90 degrees away from Saturn at zero Pisces. Saturn restricts by its very nature, and perhaps this is not a bad thing, given that Mercury in Sagittarius (which is out-of-bounds - a kind of 'wild card' energy) squares (challenges) Neptune. This diminishes one's discriminatory faculties somewhat. A moon opposite mars generally implies that tempers may be short. In sum, you might be daydreaming (Mercury/Neptune), you might be inclined to having a short fuse, but your focus should be on settling things pragmatically with effective communication.

November is always a good month to get a glympse of the Pleiades star system. Tonight, look for the Moon, and close by you should see the Seven Sisters. The picture below (taken from captioned website) tells you how to find them. More information regarding this star system is available by following the link. Suffice to say that the movement of this star system in our local skies was/is a phenomena followed by farmers as it indicated the coming of the rainy season - hence its other name 'weeping sisters'.

Here's something else for you to look at, while you're at it....just find Orion the Hunter, and you're away!

I hope you enjoyed reading this.
