Full Moon in Leo and Pluto
Full Moon in Leo this evening at 18:53. You should see it rising over the eastern horizon. it's quite cloudy today so I imagine that we shan't be getting a clear view of the stars.
Full Moons are about the culmination of intentions set at the New Moon, two weeks ago in the sign of Capricorn. If Capricorn was all about building, Leo is about the emotional satisfaction of being the main character in your own play. There are, however, a few things you need to keep in mind.
Let's look at the story the sky is offering us at this Full Moon.
First and foremost, we need to talk about that Sun/Pluto conjunction. As the planets travel around the Sun, every year there will be a time when the Sun is conjunct the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). It is not every day that Pluto changes sign, however, and it certainly isn't every day when Pluto changes sign AND there is a full moon. So, if we look at the dynamics of this lunar cycle, we can see that any Sun/Moon/Pluto cycle is going to be quite dramatic. Remember that Pluto demands transformation.
Then we've also got a Moon square Jupiter. A Leo moon is all about pride (pride of Leo, right) and creativity; Jupiter is about doing things in a big way. However, that Pluto demands change, in fact, it may manifest as challenges in your daily life to change.Having a Mercury/Mars in Capricorn conjunct tells us that you could tend to put your money where your mouth is, so do think things through before you act. Uranus forms a harmonious aspect to this band of brothers (Mars and Merc) so that is like putting a V8 engine to your plans.
Luckily for us, Venus (which you can see early in the morning - beautiful sight) sextiles (60 degrees) Saturn, the latter forming a quincunx (150 degrees) to that Leo Moon, which sort of dulls things down a bit, but don't assume that you are being over-cautious.
I was asked recently what effect that Pluto placement in newly-entered Aquarius would have on Aquarian natives. Truth is it will not only affect Aqua people, but almost every sign. Let's make it simple. Rather than say that 'this could happen' or 'that could happen', make Pluto work for you. Change where change is needed. I've got Jupiter at 1 Aqua trine (120 degrees - harmonious aspect) my Midheaven (career). I'm expecting change which might affect my career status (what, again?).
Make Pluto work for you by being open to it, even if it is only a change in perspective that you are being challenged to adopt. If we go back to 1777, the last time Pluto was in Aquarius, we had a whole bunch of people changing perspective and demanding change.
I hope enjoy reading this. Do remember that my work schedules for February may prevent me from posting anything too wordy (marking exam papers). Here's a shout out to Phyllis who enjoys reading my ramblings :) In the meantime, keep well!
Blessings,
Cindy
