Solar Eclipse and its links to 1501....
And here it is... the chart for the New Moon in Aries, also a total solar eclipse. I've been reading a lot of different takes on this eclipse. Let me explain why there are different views on it.
Fact number one: different astrologers will have different takes on it depending on what they see in the chart. That is why astrology is not only a science, but also an art. This is why I suggest reading a variety of interpretations of astrological perspectives on this eclipse (or any other, for that matter) and see what you can take from it.
Fact number two: eclipses do not affect everyone in the same way. It makes sense that if you are the leader of an organisation, what you are dealing with may affect others. A prime example is the current Prince of Wales' chart. Prince William was born on the day of a solar eclipse (I mentioned this in a few of my posts on this blog). This, in itself, is not unusual as eclipses do occur bi-annually. However, as the future King of England, it does capture our attention.
Fact number three: if an eclipse chart does make contact with something in your chart, reliable predictions are usually given when other information from other charts (progressed charts, solar returns and other charts) backs up or corroborates the information present in the eclipse chart.
Let's have a look at tomorrow's eclipse chart. One thing that becomes apparent immediately is that Chiron, an asteroid which is considered by astrologers to represent the Wounded Healer, is conjunct - to the very minute - with the New Moon. It is considered to represent out deepest emotional and spiritual wounds. Where it is found in one's personal natal chart tells us where we experience wounding in our lives. Chiron is a small solar system object orbiting between Saturn and Uranus. If we look at the last statement, we could also say that in order to transcend the limitations of our physical reality and tap into the intuitive state (Uranus is also about flashes of genius) we have to heal our wounds, become our own 'shaman', so to speak. Thus, a period of suffering is a pre-requisite to higher states of consciousness, in a way. When it comes to eclipses, I like to refer to the work of Bernadette Brady, whose book "The Eagle and the Lark", about predictive work, includes a chapter on eclipses. In it, she points out that eclipses occur is 'saros cycles' that begin at the one pole and end at the other, with a series of eclipses occurring in between, much like a snake wrapping itself around the Earth from pole to pole. In short, each eclipse series has a 'beginning', for which Brady provides information about in this book.
And here is the chart for the 'birth' of tomorrow's solar eclipse. It is set for Malta (for ease of viewing) but was actually located at the north pole.Note that the Sun/Moon were at 4 Gemini, with Uranus challenging the Sun/Moon, Mars challenging Mercury but also assisted by Pluto. Let's decode that.
This offers us the opportunity to be inventive (Sun/Moon square Uranus) with possible flashes of genius. Mars and Mercury challenge other (brain or brawn), though with Mars in Pisces it has a spiritual undertone, assisted by Pluto pushing for transformation.
So there you have it. This eclipse is about finding new inspiration albeit it may come from solitude as Uranus usually indicates a good degree of personal freedom is part and parcel of the package. This interpretation was also taken from Bernadette Brady's book cited above.
One last thing..... That 1501 birth chart also includes a Sun/Moon/Saturn conjunction (firm stance on something) as well as the 90 degree square to Uranus (challenge to be different). Flexibility is not really on the menu here, is it? This is where we need Chiron from the 2024 eclipse chart. We need to look inward and overcome our wounds.I hope you enjoyed reading this.
Blessings,
Cindy
